An 85-page guide of hunger and homelessness projects
for the year. This manual incorporates project plans for conducting
a needs assessment, organizing various events for National Hunger
and Homelessness Week and the Annual Hunger Cleanup. The manual
is a useful year-round guide with project ideas, fact sheets, resource
lists, and useful tips. |

A 75-minute film narrated by Martin Sheen and directed
by Richard Cohen. It is a documentary about unforgettable hardworking
people living in cardboard lean-tos in luxurious Santa Monica, California.
They survive by dumpster diving and by finding joy and safety together.
When new laws threaten their freedom and existence, a penniless truck
driver, Ron Taylor, runs for Santa Monica City Council as a voice

Food Salvage involves collecting surplus food from
campus dining facilities and regularly distributing it to emergency
food programs. Written in collaboration with Stanford's Project on
Nutrition, this guide will help you establish a student-run salvage
program on your campus or in your community. |

homelessness, includes hunger in the U.S., world hunger, the scope

T-shirts are a great way to build Cleanup visibility
and increase fundraising. At some schools, the Student Government
Association or a campus administrator has paid for T-shirts, which
are then given away to volunteers who meet a fundraising goal (such
as$35).
